Today Jina and I decided to go for a walk around the lake(phalen of course). Jina is one of those people when listening to their headphones they sing and dance as they are walking. As I giggled to myself it was then that reminded me of summers when school was out and our daily escapades. Jina and I were always very creative with what we did with our time like rolling blading up to the Target everyday with the occasional switch of Dairy Queen if we had the extra money. Sometimes we would just walk around the neighborhood and rehearse scenes from movies. My favorite was from the West Side Story. I mean, we would really get into it flying around all over the place and singing right in the middle of a relatively busy residential street. Every time I think of how ridiculous we must have looked it makes me laugh.
Today I'm grateful for really great local bands, light ice cream and summer days with good friends.
