When it started

When Fiona Apples first album "Tidal" came out I was elated because finally a female artist that really only went in a few vocal ranges meaning I could sing her songs and not totally suck at them. (or at least thats what I thought..anyway) That was one of the things I did when I had absolutely nothing to do...this meaning nobody was around to hang out with, I had no ride to the mall and I didn't feel like rollerblading in my basement (yeah...I totally did that....a lot. Huge dork)

One night I remember I had Fiona blaring and singing at the top of my lungs laying on my bed and my brother came in to my room
"Carrie, Are you okay?"
"yeah...why?"
"Your just hanging out and singing this sad stuff"
I just shrugged and he left.
It's funny to think about it now. Lame stuff I thought was really exciting.
I've dug up some old albums lately and I've started listening to this album again. I still do this but in my car when I'm driving.
It's great to think that everyone has a different definition of fun.

When Travis and I were at the sandwich shop today a man came in that was ridiculously nice. I mean almost to the point of insanity. I really appreciate nice people, I really don't think you can be too nice. Coming from a family that lived and thrived off of sarcasm I really wish I was a nicer person but considering that would mean years of learned behavior of trying to tie peoples shoe strings together when they aren't looking and annoying prank calls, it probably won't happen. This on the other hand really made me appreciate this guy, he said "please and thank you" after every sentence..even when he didn't need to. It wasn't really annoying..it was just plain NICE and when he left everyone felt changed because of it. Those type of people amaze me because they can change people without persuading. They can just be themselves and inspire.

Well, when I first started this blog I was going to take pictures of things that I thought were extraordinary and something to talk about.
Then it turned into a blog that I just wanted to post things I'm grateful about and I never write anything in it so its almost like I'm grateful for things..but only every once and a while.

So I'm going to "Attempt" to remember at least to write in here everyday..even if it's just five or so things that I'm grateful about.
so today I'm grateful for
Obviously Nice People
Probably Reeses peanut butter eggs but I always eat to many and I want to puke...so I'll say I'm very grateful for them after my first one
People who eat their sandwiches by eating just one thing at a time and it takes them an hour.
Music...these days lately it's been really old music I haven't listened to in years
a job
and lastly
getting a check for 50.00 from the government that I had no idea that was coming to me.
