The nice thing about Sirius radio is that on the punk station you can always count on them playing a good dose of Iggy Pop, David Bowie, NOFX, The Clash and Bad Religion along with other classics. I turn up the radio and start singing in a pretend microphone to my one boy audience in the back seat who's clothes are too big for him.
"Alright Travis take it from the top"
And instead of hearing silence I get "Gaa Gaa Gaa Gaa"that he sings at the top of his lungs to Iggy Pop lyrics which some may argue is pretty close to the real thing anyway.
Lately Travis has been talking a lot more but you can never understand what the hell he is saying. Kind of like hanging out with a drunk midget for most of the day. It's amazing though anyways because you can just imagine all of the things he is saying. Maybe someday it will all come together and words will flow from his lips like water.
Speaking of things coming together my mom (deb) and I just came back from being over at my brothers house for Molly's birthday (sister in law) when they popped out the news that they are going to open their own restaurant! Isn't that amazing! Just the other day I went to the bar my brother has been working at for the past billion years to play darts and drink some summit while he was working and thinking "wow, he has so much talent as a cook and he works here". I mean his bar has been great to him and he has met a lot of people but you get to that point where you need to grow and he wasn't doing anything else. I was going to write a blog about that day on how many people there probably is in this world who have all these amazing things to offer and no on would ever even know about it! I mean, the possibilities are endless and it still just such a crazy thing for me to ponder. I remember for my birthday we went to a hole in the wall bar for karaoke and there was a man there that was an amazing singer but I think he just works construction during the day. Its just still crazy how amazing life is when you get to experience hidden talents, I guess it just makes you feel really special. Well, now the whole world will feel special and my brother will have what he really deserves. He is such a great person and he is making a wonderful family it's just so exciting I'm still gushing about it!
Well what can I say I'm so grateful for such wonderful news. You just have to keep on dreaming, keep on talking and the impossible becomes possible.
