Smell of Spring

Amos, our one cat has always yearned to be outside. To adventure the unknown. Of course, since he doesn't have claws and we live in an apartment complex the outside is only accessible through our window. Sometimes he escapes only to run around the hall and come back. Mostly he sits on the sill and looks out the door when I'm coming in from running around. Sometimes my heart aches for him and then on some days when I'm driving to work I begin to understand how he feels. There are times when I'm on 94 that I want to keep driving until I hit the ocean and continue to push the pedal until my overprice car and I fall into the salty waves. I then continue to see me swimming, not stopping while floating off into the distance until I disappear. I work, I come back home to amos and the other animals somewhat yearning for something. Sometimes I'm not even sure if it's outside.

Spring has FINALLY made it to Minnesota. Scents this spring have been wonderful. Each day I appreciate new scents spring has given me whether it be fresh cut grass, lilacs or crab apple trees. Oreo, our bunny finally made it to his social hour last week. 2o bunnies in all jumping, running, dancing, eating and more then anything pooping. Lots of poop :P The really funny part was that in a way it felt like we were bringing our child to playgroup. He was shy at first and hid behind us not wanting to come out, but by the end he was running around, snuggling up to other bunnies and not wanting to leave. I'm pretty sure Hoppy Hour is one of the cutest things I've ever seen :)
