I've worked (physically) pretty hard during this pregnancy cleaning houses. It's just recently that I went on Maternity leave and with a little over a month away from the baby's due date it's been nice to get things done around the house, stuff made for baby. Just to be pregnant and tired and excited and happy and nothing else. It's a small luxury that I'm enjoying. Yesterday (Monday) I had one of the best days I've had in a while. Mondays are usually terrible too so it was a nice surprise. I slept in until 10:30, woke up to a warm homemade muffin smothered in butter and coffee. Read the news and then broke out my new watercolor set. Had lunch, shared my left overs with the chickens. Cleaned the house and myself , made dinner for Dave (I never make dinner ever) while listening to Bob Marley radio and feeling the cool fall breeze through the window. Friends gave us fresh basil from their garden so I was able to make fresh pesto. I love the smell of Basil and made sure to inhale each scent after every picked leaf. After dinner we took the dog for a beautiful fall walk, found new trails we haven't explored. On the way back I had my first pumpkin spiced drink of the season. When we got home I worked on the cloth diapers I started for baby, then watched TV and went to bed.
As soon as the clock struck midnight, I found I couldn't get comfortable to sleep and baby kicked, moved did somersaults the entire night which made it even harder to sleep. So I was awake most of the night, something I need to get used to anyways. Today has been back to the grind, same old normal day. I'm so appreciative of yesterday though, and for my awareness for I made sure to tell myself periodically yesterday ," isn't this just the best. I'm so grateful right now."
