Spring Cleaning
Today I happily started spring cleaning. I took down all the blinds in our bedroom and washed them until they sparkled and cleaned window sills. I also did other various cleaning things and with a gigantic smile on my face put the cross country skiis and sleds away in storage. Even though I stubbed my toe while jamming them into our over flowing storage closet it wasn't going to stop me from having a good time. I'm so happy warmer weather is here again. Speaking of cleaning I am now a cleaning lady. Its kind of weird saying your a cleaning lady and Im not sure why. Sure there was this brief point when I started where I was slightly embarressed which is kind of stupid. What makes a job like that any less meaningful then any other job. Little did I know that I would soon find out that it is one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. Its amazing how people don't know how to clean or find that they really don't have time. The other day I was in a house with a very sweet family but they pretty much never cleaned ever. Needless to say it was a little gross but for the most part I felt bad for them. It's an amazing feeling to give people a wonderful environment to spend their time in and help them in an area where they just can't do it themselves. I feel useful, helpful and that I'm making a difference in a persons life which is wonderful. While I have goals on owning my own business in the near future this has been a great opportunity for me, more then I ever thought. Which just goes to show you that you should always keep an open mind about everything. Last night Dave and his best friend brought up this story about how a long time ago they were at a show right next to each other before they were ever friends. They probably had quick glances but would never know that years down the line they would become close friends. I too have had this experience and it made me realize how magical the world really is. That some people are just drawn together like magnets. Some people are just meant to experience each other.
