Big Week

This week has been really busy with lots of exciting and fun stuff swimming around. On Monday I joined a band... Like an actual concert band with trumpets, flutes, drums , the whole kit and caboodle.  It was nice to dust off the ole clarinet and play a little. The hardest part of this whole experience was letting myself go and just having fun. I haven't played for years and it was so hard! But no one around me cared that I couldn't play everything they were just happy to have another face in the mix. Sometimes I get nervous when I try new things and feel like I have to be amazing right away but I just need to let that part of me go. At the end of the night I felt good and was excited to try again. It's amazing the things you remember! Wow I haven't played for years but felt my mind could just automatically tell my fingers where to go.

Today I opened up my first art/etsy shop that is housing all of my wood burning and embroidery portraits. Here! Is my new Etsy shop.... It's under my maiden name so if I ever become the next big thing in portraits it will bring some pride to my daddy's name. No matter how old you get you will always want to make your parents proud. I've really started to fall in love with wood burning. It's hard but I love the challenge. It's always exciting to sit down and start one. I've been really getting into typography and do all my lettering free hand which I'm very proud to say! I love embroidery but its on a different level kind of similar to knitting. It's just relaxing and something to do while I watch TV.

Tickets to Seattle are officially bought! And we are planning on going to the Rain Forest this time!

Other then that this weekend I finally get to learn how to make Lefse from my grandma. I also get to see my friends new farm and chase around my favorite baby.  I'm so so grateful for all these wonderful exciting things! And so appreciative of life's exciting moments..as they make cleaning toilet days just rush by and give me new things to look forward to.
